Comprehensive answers to everything related to your eye health.
At Laser care center, we provide comprehensive eye care for children and adults. We offer our expertise in early detection, vision correction, and long-term eye health preservation using the latest advanced technologies.
01. What is the recommended frequency for eye examinations?
The recommended frequency depends on age and overall health condition. Medical guidelines suggest the following:
Ages 18 to 60: A comprehensive eye examination is recommended every one to two years, even if you do not experience any vision problems.
Over the age of 60: An annual eye examination (every 12 months) is recommended for early detection of conditions such as macular degeneration and cataracts.
For individuals with special conditions: If you have chronic conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, or if there is a family history of eye diseases, your doctor may recommend more frequent examinations (every 6 months or as needed based on your condition).
02. Do we provide specialized pediatric eye care services?
Yes, specialized pediatric eye care is essential and typically includes:
School vision screenings: Ensuring that children have adequate vision for learning and reading.
Treatment of amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus: Early intervention to correct eye misalignment or problems with visual coordination.
Prescription of eyeglasses: Accurate eye examinations for children to identify nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism.
Note: It is always recommended that children undergo their first comprehensive eye examination before starting school (around the age of 3–5 years) to ensure proper development of the visual system.
03. What are the required documents and information needed for your appointment visit?
To ensure your appointment runs smoothly, we recommend bringing the following:
Personal ID: A valid identification card or health insurance card.
Medical records: Any previous reports or results of eye examinations.
Current glasses or contact lenses: It is recommended to bring your current prescription glasses or contact lens case to help determine the measurements you are using.
Medication list: A list of the names of any medications or eye drops you use regularly (including dietary supplements).
04. What are the warning signs that require an immediate visit to an ophthalmologist?
You should not delay visiting an ophthalmologist if you experience any of the following symptoms, as they may indicate urgent eye conditions:
Sudden vision loss: Whether complete or partial.
Flashes of light or a sudden increase in floaters: These may indicate retinal detachment.
Severe and sudden eye pain: Especially when accompanied by headache or nausea.
Severe and persistent redness: Along with unusual discharge or extreme sensitivity to light.
Distorted vision: Seeing straight lines as wavy or broken.
Direct eye injuries: Any exposure to a strong impact or the entry of foreign objects into the eye.
